The rapid rise of Guangdong PTFE Products Factory attracted the attention and praise of local government and many media outlets such as Nanfang Daily, but Director Zeng was not dazzled by victory and always maintained a sense of hardship and crisis for the enterprise. As early as 2005, Director Zeng had the idea of systematically building corporate culture. At a fluoroplastics industry forum in the same year, famous Phoenix TV host Wu Xiaoli interviewed Director Zeng and had an in-depth exchange with him on corporate development philosophy and cultural construction.
From the trajectories of many enterprises, Director Zeng realized: the first ten years of enterprise development rely on the boss's personal efforts; after ten years, it relies on the enterprise's management system. But for an enterprise to develop and grow in an orderly manner over the long term and become a century-old enterprise, personal efforts and a perfect management mechanism alone are far from enough. It is necessary to shape the soul of the enterprise — corporate spirit and corporate culture. Corporate culture is not about solving whether the enterprise makes money; it is an intangible asset, more important than the economic benefits generated by the enterprise. With the support of corporate culture, even as time changes and personnel change constantly, the enterprise can still remain fresh over time and prosper forever.
To this end, he took "Cherish rare resources, devote to promoting the application of fluoroplastics, and strive to enhance the application value of fluoroplastics!" as the enterprise's mission; took "One raw material, diverse products. R&D and application, industrial operation." as the enterprise's vision; and took the practice-derived "Success comes only from persistence; innovation achieves brilliance" as the corporate spirit.
Driven rapidly by the two wheels of FORWA corporate culture and continuously innovating management models, Guangdong PTFE Products Factory was like getting on a highway, speeding forward, and achieved miracles that shocked peers in just a few years.
In May 2007, Guangdong PTFE Products Factory participated in and drafted the industry standard "Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Thread Seal Tape for Thread Sealing" for the National Ministry of Light Industry. This standard has reached the international advanced level. In August of the same year, the enterprise passed ISO 9001 quality system certification, bringing total quality management to a new level.
In November 2009, the enterprise was named a "National High-Tech Enterprise" by relevant government departments, the first in Sihui. In the same month, the company's technology R&D center, due to its strong technical force and fruitful R&D results, was upgraded by the government to a provincial-level R&D center and named "Zhaoqing Fluoroplastics Application Engineering Technology Research and Development Center."
Good news came one after another. In early spring February 2012, the new factory area of Guangdong PTFE Products Factory Co., Ltd., long awaited by FORWA people — "FORWA Industrial Park" — was completed and put into use.
FORWA Industrial Park is located in the Qingdong Industrial Zone of Sihui, covering an area of nearly 43 mu, with a building area of 28,000 square meters. The park is widely planted with flowers and trees and has modern factories, warehouses, a beautiful office building, and employee dormitories in Hakka tulou style; it also has rockeries, fish ponds, water ponds, sculptures, a basketball court, and a parking lot; a 100-meter red corridor connecting the factory, office building, and canteen was also built, exuding a strong humanistic cultural atmosphere.
After the completion of FORWA Industrial Park, the enterprise introduced internationally advanced fluoroplastics production equipment and expanded the production scale of thread seal tape, making it the world's largest Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thread seal tape processing and production base, with daily output reaching more than 600,000 rolls.
General Manager Zeng Yanfei was not satisfied with the achievements. Under his leadership, FORWA people developed a series of new fluoroplastics application products: liquid thread sealant, thread sealing paste, high-strength thread sealing cord, pressure-resistant and temperature-resistant PTFE tubes, smokeless non-flammable high-temperature-resistant PTFE wires, special PTFE wrapped sintered tape, insulating electrical tape, aging-resistant and corrosion-resistant invisible protective nets, etc.; they own 37 product patents, initially realizing the corporate vision of "One raw material, diverse products! R&D and application, industrial operation!"
The company has also grown from a small workshop with 5 people at the beginning to now having four subsidiary enterprises and more than 300 employees, including 5 senior engineers, 2 externally hired experts/professors, and 1 science and technology commissioner; professional technical (management) talents at all levels, including intermediate and senior titles, account for 32% of the total employees. It can be said to be richly endowed with natural treasures and abundant in talent.
In 2012, the enterprise expanded its overseas markets to 85 countries, with export sales of 8.9 million US dollars, equivalent to 56.85 million yuan. Annual sales reached more than 70 million yuan, and it paid 3.9 million yuan in taxes to the state, becoming a major local export earner and the leader in the thread seal tape industry.
Twenty years of entrepreneurship and twenty years of hard work achieved the brilliant dream of a generation's "King of Thread Seal Tape."
