Recently, Guangdong PTFE Products Factory Co., Ltd. (FORWA) welcomed a group of energetic visitors—teacher and student representatives from local universities majoring in intelligent manufacturing and automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, and related fields. This visit and learning activity aimed to build a practical bridge for industry-academia-research exchanges, allowing young students to closely contact the production frontline and technological frontier of sealing materials.

Led by the production manager, the teachers and students visited the company’s core production areas in an orderly manner. From raw material pretreatment, precision stretching, to automated cutting and packaging, the students witnessed the birth process of rolls of high-quality PTFE thread seal tape under the operation of our advanced equipment, and the students developed strong interest in our equipment. The company’s technical personnel explained on site the material characteristics and working principles of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), as well as basic information about the equipment, vividly combining textbook theoretical knowledge with actual industrial applications.

At the subsequent exchange symposium, the company’s technical backbone held in-depth dialogue with the students. Students actively asked questions about production process optimization, eco-friendly material R&D trends, and application prospects of sealing technology in different emerging industries. Company representatives, combining the R&D practice of a national high-tech enterprise and experience in WRAS and other international certifications, gave detailed answers one by one and shared the company’s exploration of transforming from traditional manufacturing to “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” and “intelligent manufacturing.”

“This visit completely changed our impression of traditional manufacturing,” said one student representative with emotion. “The rigorous process control and pursuit of technological innovation in the FORWA workshop showed us the profound foundation of Chinese manufacturing and the direction of upgrading.” The company’s person in charge said that talent is the future of industry development. FORWA is always willing to open its doors and hopes that through such activities, it can plant seeds of love and respect for materials science and real manufacturing in young students’ hearts, and jointly promote China’s sealing technology to a higher level in the future.

This university visit activity not only demonstrated FORWA’s open attitude and technical strength as an industry benchmark enterprise but also was a concrete measure for the company to actively fulfill social responsibility and support talent cultivation, injecting youthful momentum into the sustainable development of the industry.
