Commercial Complex Fire Protection Pipeline Sealing — Red Liquid Thread Sealant Guards the Lifeline
Project BackgroundA fire sprinkler system installation project in a large commercial complex, involving threaded connections of galvanized steel pipes ranging from DN25 to DN150, with a total of more than 2,000 joints.
Core ChallengesThe fire protection pipeline system remains in a water-filled and pressurized state for extended periods, placing extremely high demands on the compressive strength and durability of the sealing layer. Traditional thread seal tape is prone to aging and shrinking under long-term water pressure and temperature changes, causing joint leakage and affecting fire protection system reliability. In addition, fire protection pipelines are mostly located in concealed areas such as ceiling interlayers, making maintenance extremely inconvenient.
SolutionFORWA red liquid thread sealant (fire protection pipeline dedicated) was adopted. After curing, the sealing layer has excellent compressive and vibration resistance, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance. It remains stable without shrinking within the temperature range of -55℃ to +150℃, and can prevent metal thread oxidation and rusting, reducing fire protection system maintenance costs.
